The National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) today honored FUSION Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer Boris Gartner naming him a NAMIC Luminary. Gartner was one of ten emerging executives recognized for their professional achievements and commitment to fostering multiethnic diversity.
In his current role, Gartner leads company-wide corporate strategy, business development, monetization, and partnerships — focusing on growing the reach and impact of FUSION’s content offerings. He also leads a strategy team that drives new initiatives and growth opportunities across the company.
Previously he served on different positions at Univision Communications Inc., including VP and GM of La Fabrica UCI, Univision’s in-house Digital Studio. He co-founded the studio which focused on creating high-quality, digital-first bilingual content, develops multi-platform brands with alternative content offerings and innovative advertising formats and sponsorship opportunities. In addition, he launched Variety Latino, the premier multi-platform brand for general market entertainment news in Spanish, in partnership with Penske Media’s Variety; Panoramica, the award-winning Documentary series in partnership with Participant Media; and Alma Extrema, the first-ever adventure sports and lifestyle digital destination targeted to bilingual Latinos, powered by Red Bull Media House.
Prior to this role he served as VP of Strategy and New Initiatives for Univision News, where he managed operations and strategic initiatives focused on the growth and profitability of News’ content offerings across platforms. Under his leadership, Univision News created various new revenue streams, including a two-year $35 million campaign.
