HBO and FUSION Ink Deal for New Series ‘Outpost’ and Jorge Ramos Special

HBO today announced it has licensed two projects from FUSION, a fast-growing multi-platform media company that serves a young, diverse audience.

“This generation has an insatiable curiosity about the world around them and we are thrilled to be partnering with HBO as we take viewers on a journey to examine an array of diverse cultures and perspectives,” said Isaac Lee, CEO of FUSION and Chief News and Digital Officer for Univision. “This is a tremendous opportunity for FUSION to extend its commitment to serving a multicultural millennial audience across a broad range of platforms – and it also speaks to the high quality, meaningful storytelling that our Story House team is dedicated to producing.“

Info on the projects below:

OUTPOST | OUTPOST is a ten-part series that lives at the intersection of investigative journalism and adventure travel. The series gives viewers a local perspective of faraway places through immersive stories on current events, subcultures, the environment, and adventure sports.

HATE IN AMERICA WITH JORGE RAMOS | From white separatists to anti-immigrant activists, "Hate in America” will see Jorge Ramos taking his fearless brand of journalism on the road to investigate why hatred seems to be growing in this country and who is feeding it.

Ramos is one of the most highly respected journalists in the United States and Latin America.  He has co-anchored the award-winning evening newscast “Noticiero Univision” (Univision News) since 1986.  He also hosts “Al Punto” (“To the Point”), the Univision Network’s Sunday public affairs program, and hosts his first program in English, “AMERICA with Jorge Ramos,” on FUSION.

“OUTPOST” and “Hate in America with Jorge Ramos” are developed and produced by Univision’s recently launched original content development and production team, Univision Story House. Univision Story House is designed to create innovative stories and formats for Univision platforms, including FUSION, as well as third party networks and partners.
